My quads were really stiff on Sunday after the race (I don't think getting in the car for an hour+ ride right after running the race was the best idea...). Yesterday morning I went for a short "recovery" run. I felt slow, and I didn't try to push it.
Mile 1: 10:00
Mile 2: 9:51
Mile 3: 9:47
.63: 5:56 (9:25 pace)
My right quad acted up a little in the first mile - a sort of burning sensation in the outer part of the muscle that was pretty uncomfortable. I stopped to stretch to no avail, but by the end of the mile the feeling had dissipated.
Lifted last night, but stayed away from much leg work. Quads still a little tight today, but starting to loosen up.
